I’m a wife, animal lover, and writer. I’m mom to a beautiful Grand Dame cat (just turned 19) and a big slurpy dog. My husband and I are big movie buffs, and collectors of films and soundtracks. My all-time favorite actor is Gregory Peck, and my favorite movie, To Kill a Mockingbird, for which Peck won his Best Actor Academy Award. Favorite living actors: Tom Hanks and Jane Seymour.
I’m a lifelong Star Trek fan. I’ve loved it ever since I found the Original Series in rerums when I was a kid. Star Trek was my introduction to science fiction…which led to Robert Heinlein and Isaac Asimov, Forbidden Planet and “The Outer Limits,” Forry’s Ackermansion and 50′s sci-fi movies…and my husband.
I can thank Star Trek for making me a professional prose fiction writer: my first short story sale was a Star Trek: Enterprise tale, “The Dream,” for the Pocket Books anthology Strange New Worlds 10.
